My almost 3 month old is still not sleeping at night
I have read every book out there and nothing is working.
She seems to wake up at least every 2.5 hours on MOST days - sometimes we get 3. We had a one week stretch where she did 5.5 hours but that stopped pretty abruptly, ironically after her vaccinations at 2 months.
I am nursing and am not against giving her formula but I tried it a few times and it only made her spit up.
I swaddled her in the beginning weeks, stopped for a while b/c she was resisting it and now tried it again but she screams in the miracle blanket.
It wouldn't bother me so much but I read online here and elsewhere that they should be sleeping longer stretches. I am tired and don't have the energy to play with her the way I want - I look forward to her naps sometimes and that breaks my hurt to want my baby asleep
Any advice? I am going back to work soon and need to get her to get some rest at night.

Did you try mixing the breast milk (do you pump?) with the formula? What kind of formula are you using?
I find that sometimes the more my son naps during the day... the better he sleeps at night. Is she napping enough during the day?
ETA: Don't feel bad about wanting her to nap. I think all of us mothers look forward to their naps so we can get our stuff done or have time to ourselves.

How often does she eat during the day? I found that feeding my daughter every 3 hours during the day (even if she was sleeping and I had to wake her) really helped to put her on a schedule, and fill her up so she wasn't waking up hungry.

I totally feel your pain. DD is 4 months and will give us one four hour stretch at night and is then up every three hours. I obviously dont haven any advice, since I am still suffering, but I think my DD's problem is she isnt eating enough during the day. She nurses every time she gets up during the night. I have tried giving her formula, but she usually wont take the bottle. Hang in there! I dont think this can last forever.

Do you pump? I would try pumping and making her last bottle before bedtime a little bit bigger. Also - do you have a consistent night-time routine for her? We found that was essential.

I feel your pain, my 8 week old daughter is up every 2 hours!
Every book says to put them asleep drowsy but she hates it!! I feel like she is still too young.
Maybe just waiting it out until they get older will help?
