Help! My BF baby is refusing bottles!
What do I do? Does anyone have any recommendations? We've been trying the Playtex Drop-ins. I've been back to work for a week and today she didn't eat ANYTHING until I came home (she went from 7-1:30 without eating. The poor thing was a mess (as well as my husband).
I admit we weren't diligent about giving her bottles while I was on maternity leave- she's only had them a handful of times.
Am I doomed to have to go home at lunch to feed her?!

my dd didnt like the drop ins nipples they were hard for her to use for some reason. Have you tried switching bottles? DD loved the born free.

Try different bottles with different nipples. I found the Avent bottle for newborns has a nipple that looks like a breast nipple. good luck! XOXOXO BOTB

Re: Help! My BF baby is refusing bottles!
DD did this to me for a while - but luckily I wasn't working.
She only liked Dr Browns narrow bottles.
Have you tried the adrini ones - they are supposed to be like the breast? I was going to try them with the new baby when she comes.
I'm not a lot of help but my ped did say that if forced they would eventually eat when hungry and give up the bottle strike - not that it helps you.

Def try Born Free Adiri Bottles are supposed to be just like the breast too
also - the first years now makes the Breast Flow bottle BPA free.... Kristina loved that bottle.... only reason why i stopped it was b/c i found out that it wasn't bpa free after i thought it was...
Nuby also has the Natural Touch bottles BPA free... they look like they would work too!

Re: Help! My BF baby is refusing bottles!
Thanks for the replies. DH is ready to kill me because I'm wanting to buy all these different bottle type. I'm desperate here though. I have too much BM in my freezer stash that's gonna have to be used at some point!

Re: Help! My BF baby is refusing bottles!
Try different positions and different nipples. DS refused bottles a lot for a few months when I went back to work. DH wanted to bring him to my job everyday.
We didn't always try different bottles, but some different nipples with the same bottles. Also, he took the bottle more when DH put it close to his own nipple. (Sometimes it is all about the angle they are used to.)
DS also started drinking bottles almost all of the time while laying on the floor. Trust me, DH tried every angle. Once DS took it this way, we went with it for nearly 4 months.

on the BFing dad- my DH does the same thing. I'm going to have him try putting her on her playmat today.
I'm praying something works- I DON'T want to have to go home to nurse everyday....
