Help!!! My ipod is not turning on.Updated!!! It works again
it all began when my husband connected my ipod video to the xbox 360 and it charge it like that, then i went to work and i listened to two songs and then it just stopped and it wouldn't turn back on.
I try resetting like the apple website said but nothing.
What should I do?
I just got it in August!

are you getting the apple screen of death or nothing at all?
you don't accidentally have the hold button on, do you? i've done that a few times.

no, i tried resetting and nothing and the screen is completely black, no apple symbol or the battery symbol, the computer is not even recognizing it.

my computer doesn't recognize mine either --- only DH's ---- he syncs his up more often then I do....
he has an ipod book and is good at that stuff, i can ask him later when he gets home, right now he's at the islander's game.
i usually just hold down the play button for a really long time when mine gets wonky and it fixes itself.

It could just be the battery. I had some issues with mine and have been meaning to replace it. Sometimes they won't even take a charge.

do a search for the problem...like ipod will not turn on...or ipod is frozen...you will probably find some technical forum that will help you...when my ipod froze that is what I did and I got help...

It sounds like the battery to me. That's what mine did. Try charging it differently.

Personally, I think it might be the dock from the Xbox.
I hooked mine up to a friends Bose system and since then my computer doesn't recognize it and it doesn't turn on at all when I try to hook it up to the computer.
I need to take it to a genius bar at an Apple store and see if they can fix it....you would probably be best off doing the same.

I let out drain the battery all night and it turned on again this morning, although I lost all my songs in my itunes library
