English Language Arts, they said it will be either grade 6, 7 ,or 8.

I teach 6-8 language arts... so hopefully I can help ...
did they say what they have been working on?
I found that doing poetry for demo lessons worked out well...
Choose say, similes and metaphors...
show examples...
get a poem where it is really evident
have them do some practice
and then have them write their own short poem using one or both
