HELP, please. hair appt tonight, i think i'm going to go DIFFERENT!
no color, just cut. I'm not ready for the time and money involved with color. My hair is to my bra strap and pretty thick, but when it's this long it gets weighed down and flat looking. I have a fat face, so I probably need something face-framing.
I've had this cut for a long time - the last time I did a major chop (shoulder length) was the morning after my wedding.
My hair is naturally wavy - it gets pretty curly when it's shorter.

How short do you want to go?
I think just at your shoulders, or just below - any shorter and it will puff up.
Lots of face-framing layers, nothing shorter than your chin.
No bangs, those are too hard to keep up with!

I say below the shoulders. Layers that frame your face and nothing above the chin. No bangs!

From what I can remember, Tine73 has nice thick hair and it's face framing and shoulder length.
Can't find pics of her though, so maybe she'll see this and post a recent one.
(And no, I'm NOT stalking her.  )

Key word here is layers.
Make them long too. Nothing too short.
It will thin your hair out, Frame your face & add body.

My hair is like this (only black and a little shorter and maybe a tiny bit curlier) and it's definitely wash and go. I just twist random pieces around my finger - takes less than 5 minutes.

That's the crazy thing - before I got this cut/style, my hair was WAY frizzy. Like, if someone even whispered the word "humidity" my hair would poof. But now it's always under control.
I don't use any special products - cheap gel and, when I'm feeling fancy, cheap hair spray.
My hair is medium to fine, though. No idea if you'd get the same results with thick hair.
Your hair is gorgeous, so whatever you decide will look amazing!

You have really nice hair so I wouldn't change very much. Maybe take off an inch or two and add some face framing layers.

I ended up showing her this pic and she made it happen! I'm enjoying it  . Seems easy, dries quickly (I already washed/dried it), and isn't frizzing yet. Thanks!
