Right now, DS1 (2.5yrs) is in a Britax Marathon, and he just hit the rear facing weight limit last month, so he is now forward facing.

DS2 (8mos) is in a Graco Snugride 35, and just hit the height limit.

I am heading out to get a new carseat.

What do I get? Do I give DS2 the Marathon, and buy a new forward facing seat for DS1? Or get another marathon? I guess I am just curious if I should get a seat that is soley forward facing for DS1?

I dunno! I thought the first initial purchase of carseats was tough! This is worse!

WHat do you guys do that have 2 or more?

I Only have 1 kid and have the marathon. If I have another kid I would get a 3 in 1 or at least one that changes to a booster.

In your case I would give younger the marathon and buy a seat for your older that changes into booster.

This is what I plan on doing as well (except we have a Marathon and Roundabout).

I personally would never buy a 3 in 1 for safety reasons....I have heard that they do not hit right n the child for the most part so I would not take chances. What I did, was turn around my marathon for my first child and got my second child her own. There is an expiration date on the marathon anyway and your second child may hit i it before ready for a booster.

I think that you may be able to give your younger one your older ones booster when he's done, because by first grade he will most likely be in a backless booster. That costs like $20 bucks. Then your younger child will be about 4 and need the back on booster, right? I personally would save the money there.
