Re: Help with Ft. Lauderdale vaca

When we go we stay at the Sheraton Yankee Trader (NOT the Yankee Clipper, which is much further down the strip). It's a nice hotel, right on the beach, on the main strip of A1A.
There's a nice steak restaurant in the hotel, right outside, with great views of the beach. It's called Shula's. A little pricey, but worth it!

Just walking up A1A will give u plenty to do... beach front on one side and bars/shops, etc on the other. There's a cute outdoor mall, too.

Try visiting Las Olas Blvd. It's a short drive from your hotel and has many art-sy shops and cafes, etc.

Also, you have to go to Shooter's!

It's a bar/restaurant right on the water, boats/yachts pull right up and park to eat there, too. It's a great, laid-back atmosphere. The dock that the bar is part of has several other bars to choose from, and even has a great Greek restaurant with great entertainment (like hot greek men dancing during dinner. Chat Icon )

HTH!
