HELP...DS refuses to sleep outside of the PNP Bassinet
OK...so Jack is now about 5 weeks and I cannot get him to sleep anywhere other then the bassinet that came with our PNP...the longest i've ever been able to get him to sleep in the PNP, PNP travel crib or co-sleeper was about 1 hour. He will sleep up to 4 hrs at a time in the bassinet (goes across the PNP) I wasn't ready to put him in the crib in his nursery but i'm running out of ideas...any help would be AWESOME! I'm exhausted!
TIA
edit...here's a pic of what i'm talking about

Re: HELP...DS refuses to sleep outside of the PNP Bassinet
he probably feels insecure outside of the bassinet and might need to feel more cozy.
Try to swaddle him. He might hate it at first, but he might also need it. DS hated the swaddle, he would scream, but as soon as I applied the methods of "happiest baby on the block" he got calm immediately and fell asleep soon after. He sleeps anywhere, anyhow now, but when he's feeling a bit off, I still swaddle him to give him some comfort. He loves it now and smiles at me when I do it.

ITA. My only other suggestion is the swing, but turned off, because my swing looks a lot like that bassinet and he may like the similar feel of it - DD loved that until 2-3 months old when we transitioned her to her crib for naps. If you don't want him to get used to the swing, def try swaddling to mimic the sensation but in his crib.

Try putting him in a sleep positioner. It will make him feel more secure....We had the same problem with DS...After a few days in the positioner, he was ok...

i bought one but he seems to keep wiggling around and getting his arms stuck at his sides so i'm a little nervous to use it...i've also tried swaddling but my little moster kicks and screams everytime we try it and breaks free!

Re: HELP...DS refuses to sleep outside of the PNP Bassinet
Do you have a papasan swing? They are similar. If not, don't sweat it, he is so tiny. DD would only sleep in the swing and at 4 months, she sleeps in the crib.

Does he have reflux? Even if not, it just may be more comfortable not to lay flat right now. DD has reflux and she will not lay flat.
