hernia?
DH is having hernia surgery. The dr. explained all the risks, etc. - he is doing it laproscopically. Now they said that if the surgeon doesn't know what he's doing there's a slight chance he/she could accidentally cut the sperm cord. Our dr. assured us he's never done that and he is top rated so we're not really worried but..... we (DH and I) actually thought that maybe DH should "make a deposit" of some little guys in case? Is that weird and crazy? Are we being paranoid? We don't plan to TTC until next year. If we were to consider it seriously, I don't even know what's involved or how much that costs. Anyway, just curious for some opinions. Thanks!

Re: hernia?
My husband had a double hernia operation w/o incident. We weren't advised of that kind of risk. Also, I have worked in medical malpractice and have never come across that. I think he'll be fine. It is likely that the doctor felt he had to give you every possible risk so you are well informed but, I wouldn't worry about it especially if you have confidence that the doctor is capable.
