Re: Hi Girls, advice appreciated!
I'm in a similar situation to you. We're waiting until closer to the summer to officially start TTC.. I do have baby fever but right now DH & I need to concentrate on our careers and selling 2 apartments to buy a house.
For me, personally I don't want to get pregnant SO SOON after beginning a new job or position...I'm gonna give it a few months (especially the first month or 2 on the job), then start trying-so at earliest it could potentially be announced 6 months after starting (if I announce it at the 3 month mark).
For us, we'd rather have the extra finances to bank. ANd I'd rather have the career for now, because everything will change once baby comes.
BUT.sometimes things come unexpectedly too.
In the end, everything always has a way of working itself out. Only you know what's best.
Good luck!

Re: Hi Girls, advice appreciated!
i am in a similar situation. DH and I started TTC in May 2009. at that time i started an interview process for a really great job in my industry. well fast forward to 2 weeks ago - i actually finally got the job!! i start on March 1st!
needless to say we are still TTC. we didnt stop becuase of the job- but i also started a meds cycle before i knew whether the job was mine or not. if i dont get a BFP this cycle i may take a few months off so that when i do get preg when i give birth i will at least be with the company for over a year in order to get better maternity benefits. but then again we may not wait - we havent really decided yet...
also remember that TTC isnt that quick for everyone either. if you already know you have a normal cycle you are def a little ahead of the game - but still, it's not always completely plan-able.
all i know is that when DH and i started TTC we knew there would never be an "ideal time" to have a baby - because life just happens. i plan to keep the new job even if i do get a BFP - i already know i will have to sacrifice a bit to be able to both. as long as you are prepared for that - i say do what you gotta do as far as your career and family go, because there will never be a "perfect time."
