Girls with Preterm labor experience - advice needed...
So I am 27 weeks and on Procardia and bedrest. About an hour before I was due for my next dose of Procardia I started to get a bunch of contractions and cramping about 10 minutes apart. Then I was due for my meds and I took it and since all the contractions and cramping have gone away and I feel fine.
Would you still go to L&D? or would you just figure the meds are doing what they are supposed to do and there is nothing left to stop...
TIA

I was on bedrest from about 30 weeks, but was on the terbutaline pump. The same thing would happen, contractions (which I did not always feel) then after the medicine they could go down. I had nurses checking in 2x per day, so they would make the decision as to whether my doctor needed to get involved. If I were you, I would just call the doctor to ease your mind. I'm sure it's fine, otherwise you would feel SOMETHING off.
Good luck and hang in there, bedrest works.

i personally wouldnt call.. sounds like the meds are doin what they are supposed to. I like the above poster am on the terbutaline pump and notice i have a few more then normal contractions between bolus (big) doses of my medicine. if you feel somethings "off" i would call if you feel fine then its up to you
