High Temp
So I hope I am getting the hang of this temping nonsense. As of yesterday morning..my temp spiked to 98 (from my standard 97.6 temp)...and again today at 98.4..so does this mean that as of today I am 2DPO? I don't really know how that part works?
can you help?
tnx!

Re: High Temp
It sounds like you ovulated the day before yesterday, which would make you 2dpo today (you would have ovulated the day before the temp spike). Which software are you using to chart? Fertility Friend wants three temps that are higher than the previous six to confirm ovulation. It will probably tell you tomorrow that you are 3dpo.

I completely agree with this! Ovulation is confirmed after three consecutive days of a substantial raise in temperature. You will know tomorrow if you are 3dpo.

Re: High Temp
Well I am not using any software. Just the basal thermometer and the chart. I've been 97.5-97.7 since May 3 (day of AF) and Monday morning I was 98..This morning 98.4. So that means I o'd saturday and/or sunday right?
TIA!

If you temp is high tomorrow, then you ovulated Sunday.
Does that make sense?

It's probably likely that you ovulated on Sunday, but it's really difficult to tell if you haven't been charting. I say that because your temp shift from 97.6 to 98 is the same (.4 degrees) as 98 to 98.4. You need to see a clear pattern of temps - low ones before ovulation and then high ones after. It's a very visual thing, so having a chart to refer to definitely helps - and will in future months if you continue to chart because it allows you to see patterns in your cycles over time. It's also helpful to have charts with you to bring to a doctor should you need to. Good luck.
