Hmm....do we think this is starting a bad habit?
So Christopher just tripped and fell on his face and was crying. I picked him up and hugged him for a bit and he was still crying. So I got out the yogurt melts from the hiding spot and he cheered RIGHT up. Now he is fine watching Mickey Mouse and eating them.
I find I do this a lot with him, when I want him to be quiet, when he is sad....but it works. And it isn't like it is THAT bad...
Ugh

The only problem with that is he may use food to comfort himself as he gets older. (from someone who uses food to comfort herself )

I do agree that he *might* start associating it with comfort.
Like with anything...if your child falls or bumps their head and every time you pick them up and hug or swoon over it no matter what....they'll *expect* that every time.
So with food it could work the same.
But I also agree it's not "THAT" bad
