I am enjoying this whole informed consent debate. I work in the medical legal field and this is always an issue but reading this here is hilarious.
When is the last time you received a true informed consent for any vaccination? Or medication? Probably never. Most of you are parents...did any pediatrician ever go over the risks, benefits and alternatives to T-Dap? Or Pevnar? Likely not. There are so many potential side effects of many common meds and I guarantee most doctors do not get into each and every potential problem. I have sat in numerous depositions where a plaintiff will say a surgeon did not have a conversation to inform them of ANY risks of their surgery. This is no different. It's just gravy to add to the controversy.
True informed consent is an explanation, asking if there are any questions and providing written literature to the patient. I’ve gotten this with any vaccine given to me or my DD. Again, if anyone here received a vaccine without explanation or written information, they should file a complaint.
There is a huge difference between a patient not being given the information and the patient not reading the information given to them. I find it very hard to believe any of these plaintiffs you hear were operated on without a signed consent.
True, informed consent is more than just receiving some literature. Like I said, you should listen to the podcast I mentioned as I am sure one of the leading virologists and creator of mRna technology himself probably knows more than you do.
Based on my many years of experience, I would say a virologist would generally know very little about the detailed level compliance related to informed consent. He would have been guided by whatever institution employed him.
I don’t care what anyone’s stance is on the vaccine so I’m not sure why you are attempting to be so combative. I just pointed out a complaint that seems to be grasping at straws to knock the vaccine. There are plenty of other issues with the vaccine. You don’t have to create issues for people to listen.
I don’t know what you do so I am not sure what your many years of experience are but I think it’s pretty safe to say you have no idea who I am talking about. Have you ever heard of Dr. Malone? I am not being combative at all but you are seeming to claim you would be more knowledgeable than he is so I am truly curious if you know anything about him.
I actually do know who Robert Malone is. He contributed to the preliminary research on famotidine for COVID. He did not “invent” mRNA.
I’m not a virologist. This is not a scientific discussion. This is a discussion about the issues surrounding informed consent as it pertains to vaccines. I have not seen, in my experience, a widespread lack of proper informed consent. If and when this does occur (I obviously can’t say it never occurs-I’m sure it does occasionally), I strongly encourage the patient to speak up because no one should ever be expected to make an informed decision without facts.
I do not consider Joe Rogan’s podcast to constitute “education.”

No way is Joe Rogan's podcast "education" but this is a big part of the problem with this country today - what people consider credible sources.
My understanding is this Malone guy played a role in the development of mRNA vaccines but did not "invent" them per se.
He was also banned from twitter for sharing multiple pieces of disinformation, one of which had something to do with spreading the rumor that Pfizer and Israel had some sort of secret agreement or some other horseshit.
Credible, accomplished scientists don't walk around hyperbolizing their achievements and spreading falsehoods.
Yeah, no thanks.

I am not sure why either of you are quoting the word education when I didn't even use the term. Correct me if I am wrong but if you put something in quotes it's because someone said that verbatim?
I have read his list of accomplishments. I don't think he really has to hyperbolize them. I'd personally take the opinion of a world renowned scientist over that of a high school teacher.... but call me crazy!
Either way, the podcast is very interesting but I would not expect anyone that is confined to their own small bubble of beliefs to listen to anything that might be outside of their comfort zone.
And no one actually knows why he was banned because twitter doesn't release that information so it's really just speculation. I think what you are referring to though is something about a meeting that took place between Biden and the president of India regarding a treatment protocol that had great success in India but the contents of which were never disclosed. So there is speculation that there is actually a very effective treatment protocol that is, for whatever reason, being withheld from the public.
