Holiday Shopping & Spending (Poll)

Spent less than $50 between DD's First Birthday this month and Christmas. Between her bday party gifts and gifts from family from Christmas she will have more than enough. I just wanted to get her some stuff to open Christmas morning to start a family tradition. I may even put some toys she already has but hasnt opened yet in a stocking! She wont know the difference!! I plan on putting a nice chunk of change in her bank account for each event instead. As she gets older and has specific requests I am sure I will spend more, but for now I rather use the money towards her future.

ETA: We have 6 nieces and nephews, spent between 20-40 dollars on each of their gifts.

Re: Holiday Shopping & Spending (Poll)

My kid is only 3, not more than $150 total from both santa & us.

The baby is getting 1 new small toy that was $20, & we only got that so our older ds wouldn't ask why santa didn't get him anything. He has alot of toys in perfect condition from older ds & doesn't need much.

Re: Holiday Shopping & Spending (Poll)

Depends on the kid, my older daughter usually gets more money spent on her since its all about the electronics now. But we tend to try to keep the gifts comparable and the same number of presents per kid. Since we have 4 kids to spend on, i voted on 100-200 per kid. My 2 month old we probably spent less than 50 though.

Re: Holiday Shopping & Spending (Poll)

I didn't keep track, but I would estimate around $500. We have 1 DC.
