Hollywood/movie themed classroom ideas
Girls, I had this vision of a Hollywood themed classroom for next year... but my dreams are quickly flying out the window, lol, because I can't find appropriate bulletin board decorations or borders!!!
Have you ever seen a film strip border? or popcorn? a bulletin board set that is something like the red curtain with "Now Showing?"
DH was like "just go to the store and pick something they already have!" but I thought I would ask you girls if you have ever seen anything out there that could help me...
I'm in the midst of my cleaning chaos, but I always try to leave my room semi-ready for September.... sigh

Ask at the movie theater when they plan to replace their posters if you can take them. Or maybe they have extras to donate.

I have done a variation of this in fourth grade. I used stars, one with each child's name and or picture. The board said "Welcome to Fourth Grade...Starring..."
I had one of those black and white things producers use to say "Action"(What are those called??)
It was very cute. I used star border to go with it.
I am a big fan of the star stuff...and tie it into most of my Sept. bulletin boards.

my son's nursery graduation was just HOLLLYWOOD theme, they even gave out OSCAR AWARDS for graduation. layed out a red carpet and all. all the music, etc. was hollywood theme. even a song or two.
they had cardboard posters of many stars. it was incredible.
and the girls had feather shawls and the boys had black hats. it was SO CUTE.
I can ask where they got everything.

I do have stars, and I got some cute stuff at Party City... I guess I just had a vision in my head and it's not coming true yet... I'll keep looking, and if anyone finds anything, please keep me posted :)
