Holy Heartburn!
I had such bad acid reflux tonight that it woke me up at 2:30... I was gasping for air it was so bad. I've never experienced anything like this before (and I used to survive on nexium). Glad I see my doc on Tuesday so I can double check what I can take! My goodness, my gasping actually woke DH up from a deep sleep.

I kept Tums on my nightstand within reach b/c every night at 3am, I'd wake up in pain.

I used Tums when I was pregnant with DD. I had them everywhere (nightstand, car, kitchen, purse, office). This pregnancy, I switched to Alka Seltzer Fruit Chews (same ingredients but taste so much better). I ended up having to take Zantac before bed each night because I was so tired from waking at night. I don't have heartburn during the day with this pregnancy, but the nighttime is way worse. Zantac is wonderful.

Just an FYI for the ladies taking tums. I have severe heartburn and had no idea you could take too many tums. I finally have the heartburn under control using other meds, but I just wanted to mention that my Dr. said no more then 2-4 tums a day. So if anyone here is taking more then that... ask your Dr. if that's ok. I was taking like wayyy too many lol.
