Holy Itchy Belly!
I ready to scratch off the top layer of skin. I used my Palmer's this morning, but to no avail. I guess this means my skin is stretching today? Lawd help me and my poor itchy belly!

Don't scratch...I know stretch marks are basically hereditary but I heard it causes them if you scratch.

OY! If one more person tells me this... I hear this daily. I really hope it's an old wives tale, but just to be on the safe side, I try not to scratch. I just rub. Constantly.

Re: Holy Itchy Belly!
I put on my Tummy butter daily, but I found that around the 5th month I was starting to get really itchy even with the butter on. So I modified.... and I started using baby oil gel in the shower on my tummy b4 i get out with the water still running, and then once i get out, i do my regular routine allowing the oil time to seep in, and then right before i put my shirt on for the day I put on my tummy butter.
I have found that the itching is almost nonexistant now!!

I'll have to give that a try. The itchiness is driving me mad.

I've always done something like this...after my shower when i'm still wet I use neutrogena sesame oil and then when I dry off I use lotion...unfortunately I still have dry a** skin

I used the same stuff not too long ago... I think it's because it's the oil gel that it is thicker and therefore provides more of a moisture barrier...

Re: Holy Itchy Belly!
Scratching has nothing to do with stretch marks. I don't scratch, and I have stretch marks all over my belly.
If you scratch, you can just make your skin more irritated.

I know they're hereditary and believe that 100% but for some reason this always sticks in my mind when I have an itch...so I try not to.
