Home Appraisal
DH and I know our current house is not our "forever home." We aren't ready to sell right now but would like to get an idea of what our house would be go for as well as whether some of the home improvement projects we want to do are worth it... Will a realtor come to our house and do that even if we know we aren't ready to sell right now?

Re: Home Appraisal
Of course! Real estate agents will always be willing to provide a complimentary market analysis that estimates your home's current value with the hopes of gaining future business. In real estate, the more contacts you make, the better! As long as you are upfront about the fact that you are not planning on selling in the immediate future, there should be no issue.
I joke with one of my colleagues in my office because she has been in the business for over 25 years, and will often bring in a listing that she's been cultivating for YEARS. She recently took a listing that was 19 years in the making! She had first met with the sellers in the early 90s, and then periodically touched base with them and updated the market analysis, and finally they put it on the market last year.
Don't know what area you are in, but I pretty much work all over Long Island (or at least all of Nassau and most of Suffolk), so let me know if I can help!
