Home Appraisal
We had a home appraisal done in November to refinance for a lower interest rate. We had an appraisal done last week for a home quity loan and the appraisal came back 25k less! This appraiser left out updates and used a comp that was a fire sale. Oh course we rebutted but we are waiting to hear back bc we wont be able to get a home equity loan now bc of this low appraisal.
Has anyone been successful with a rebuttal?

Why didn't they use the appraisal from November? Is it not the same bank?

it is the same bank ... they have to get a new appraisal my husband said something to do with the bubble burst laws.

You can definitely question the appraisal. If you are aware of additional comps that could be used in place of ones in the report submit them to the bank.
