Home Decorators Collection
Has anyone ordered anything from this website? What is the quality comparable to in terms of stores around here (Ethan Allen, Raymour, Ashley, Bobs).
They have some great prices and the stuff looks nice, but I am wary of buying furniture that I can't see before I spend $$$ to have it shipped to me!

I have a bookshelf from there.
It was super affordable and has a glass door, it was the perfect height, width and style for our bedroom.
I purchased it about 3 or 4 years ago and it was under $200 - on clearance or something too.
I would by no means compare it to Ethan Allen or Thomasville or something like that.
My bookshelf is MDF I am pretty sure, not real solid hardwood, but I knew that when I bought it.
I do think it's better then the table/chairs I have from JC Penny and better then a small wine bar I have from Target.
But I would compare it more to stores like that then the higher end furniture stores.
JMO - not sure of the piece you are ordering and I don't having anything like a chair/sofa to compare the quality of those type items.
Edited to add: I am very happy with my piece and would order it again in a heartbeat.

Just decent looking, but mostly pressed wood. Not comparable to Ethan Allen or any good furniture store. Alot of their stuff you are putting together. Maybe compare it to Ikea.

I've purchased a couple of pieces from them. Quality is so-so (but I think most furniture is so-so), but their price point makes it more palatable. Definitely not long term pieces.

My home office furniture is from there. Got it about 5 years ago, and it's held up well, despite a couple of moves. I lov it....will probably have it for several more years.
Not at all comparable to EA or others....but decent quality for the cost.
