Home Ice Cream Spinoff
I have one of those ice cream-making "balls" that's supposed to be sooo easy - just add cream, sugar and flavor! But you have to also use rock salt and I don't know where to buy this... ??? I have never seen it at my grocery store.

I hear that sometimes they carry it in the regular supermarket along side the regular salt. If anything, try hardware stores or pool supply stores.

There aren't many pool supply stores in NYC but I will see if I can buy it online. I'm dying to use this thing!!

you can buy it online from amazon. You can also use regular table salt or kosher salt it doesnt HAVE to be rock salt.

We have a kiddie ice cream maker with the ball thing, and we just use regular table salt and it works fine!
