Home owners insurance
I think you can go through a broker correct for home owners insurance if so do they charge you extra for it.
My homeowners insurance just went up and I have my car insurance and they keep going up and I am just done. they keep giving me excuses its out of there control and maybe it is but I want to start shopping around for different kinds and I really don't want to have to call a ton of places again so I was thinking of using a broker.

A broker will be able to give you multiple prices from different companies. They also can negotiate for you.
I have heard great things about one of the vendors on here.

Jennifer Jennings!!! I bought my house about a month ago and she was wonderful!!!! She is so patient and will look for the best deal possible. Her number is (631) 650-4036. I would give her a call (doesn't hurt to try).

You don't pay them. I also just used Jennifer Jennings and she was awesome. I ended up switching my car insurance with her too. She made the whole process so easy! It was the easiest part of the home buying process! She's a vendor on here so you can FM her.

Home owners insurance
We used SRSInsurance when buying our home. We change auto to them to combine for extra savings. I was concerned as they were using an insurance company i've never heard of but once explained how other companies work and how big they were, i felt safe. If you need a contact, i would have to dig it up. Car insurance dropped 50% after switching...all the big name companies were all similar.
