Did anyone watch this weeks episode? I'm confused about one thing - how did they know what day the attack would be on? Maybe I missed something. Obviously there was talk of an attack for several episodes, then it was just like today's the day??

I cant remember exactly but didn't they say in the video sent out what day it would be or no?

When the terrorists released that video to the news- showing them gassing Quinn- they said that the UN had so many hours or days to recognize the Islamic State and if they didn't, they would unleash an attack on a European city once the deadline passed.
So they knew what the deadline was and knew the attack would follow soon after

I can't believe how they all believe Allison and allow her to run around with just one person as a guard. And they're really going to believe her story about the shooting? You'd think they'd be a little more suspicious.

The doctor was definitely a fake- or in on it somehow- he said he had to re-pack and drain her wound, got Saul out of there, and then she disappeared.
The Russians forced her to do all this- by saying if she didn't she would go to jail- they would sell her out .
However, I am not sure of their reasoning- like why they wanted the attack to go off.

Very anti climatic. This whole build up with this attack then it's like 10 min at the start and that's it.
And did she kill Quinn herself? Like pull the plug somehow? Or did he pass on his own?
They didn't really show that
And I wasn't sure what the offer fro Otto was either. DH always said all season that Otto had a thing for Carrie, but I never saw it that way.

I read a recap that said Otto offered her to be a business partner, but it looked more like an unromantic marriage proposal to me. The recap also said Quinn died, but it also seemed open ended to me - like Carrie was going to pull the plug, but it was left up in the air.
Carrie's boyfriend story seemed crappy - he slept with her then dumps her even though she wants to get away from all of it.
How did Saul know Allison would be in that car? She was put in there by the Russian that wanted her to let the attack happen. If Saul got the info from the guy in custody, how would that guy know - he's been detained for days and didn't know the Russians had other plans for Allison.

I was so disgusted at the end. This ray of light fills the room...like what was that? Was that his soul leaving his body?? Last seasons finale was a head scratcher too..I feel like Homeland is a great show until the last episode...like they don't know how to end it....let down!

I liked the finale. Didn't love but liked it. Carrie's boyfriend, don't blame him one bit. He loves her but he is afraid of her lifestyle and her past life in the CIA and doesn't want to live like that and I really don't blame him. She should understand that. She is dangerous to be around.
I think that Otto was definitely proposing to her, as unromantic as it was. I thought all season he had a thing for her and it will give her stability and someone who accepts who she is. I would not be surprised if they were together next season.
Quinn, I'm not sure about him. She was definitely going to kill him and then the ray of light happened. Maybe he came out of it and that was her "miracle". I don't know.
I found Saul very wishy washy and a push over this year. He had very bad instincts with the whole Allison thing and I don't think they really wrote him a good story line this year.

The very end of the last episode was so weird to me. It was as if my DVR cut off the very end and I missed a chunk of the episode, but clearly that didn't happened because I saw the credits. Strangest ending ever....

Coming into this late because I just watched it last night.
I thought it was great. Lots of loose ends tied up, yet enough questions to keep us looking to season 6.
My thoughts:
They might not have shown it, but Quinn is gone.
The doctor was very decisive when he said that the brain damage would be extensive if he pulled through and Quinn as a vegetable adds nothing to the show.
Sure, it's fiction and anything's possible. However, it just seems beyond the realm of creative license for him to pull through somehow.
I think Quinn was meant to be the "angel" to Brody's "devil" so to speak. They are parallel in many ways, when you think about it - they both survived so much but it had to end eventually. In the season 3 finale, remember when Brody called himself a cockroach? He knew he could make it out only so many times. By the end of the episode he was dead. Quinn had the exact same realization, I think, or would have it if he was conscious.
Also, I think Carrie's desire to avenge Quinn's death by fighting the forces that killed him will cause her to accept Saul's offer and we'll see her in full form again in Season 6.
I'm not sure where Otto fits in exactly but I hope they do not end up together. He is rich and arrogant and used to getting what he wants. I don't think he's good for Carrie. I do hope we still see him though, in some form, because I think he's handsome!

I read that the actor playing Quinn (Rupert Friend) wanted to leave b/c he's been getting more movie roles so I'm guessing he's definitely gone. It was just a weird way to end it.

Homeland!!
I liked it. I like how they tie up loose ends but still leave you hanging. I really will miss Quinn I wish he was alive - the Otto thing was weird. I felt like he just wanted to "collect" Carrie.

I just read an interview with a show runner and he said Quinn's fate is still up in the air - possibly even alluded to him being alive, just not able to do the stuff he did before.
They also mentioned that the show will be set in NYC next season.
