Honda Pilot Owners Please Come In!
So, my 2007 Honda Civic sedan lease is up July 1st. With all of the great dealer incentives, I am thinking of ending my lease a little early to take advantage of one of them. I've had my eye on a Pilot for quite some time now. After having two DDs back to back and already having 3 step children, I don't know why the helll I didn't lease one to begin with!
From a parent standpoint-
Do you recommend your Pilot? What year and trim level do you have? Could I truly fit 5 kids and 2 adults in there; including 2 carseats and 2 booster seats? Pros? Cons? Those who do alot of highway mileage, how is the MPG?
Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Honda Pilot Owners Please Come In!
I have a 2005 pilot and love it. I have had my 2 boys with carseats and my 2 nieces and sil and there was still room for more. It drives really nicely and fits a lot of in the trunk area. Pulling strollers in and out is easy. I'm not sure what the mileage is but it's not to bad. Mine is fully loaded dvd player is a must for me. Lifesaver on long trips. My cousin has is on her second and I noticed quite a few of the other moms at ds"s nursery school have one as well. Hope this helps.

Great to here! We're looking to purchase soon and love to hear all feedback. Here's a real stupid question: does the car seat go in the 2nd or 3rd row of seating?

Typically, you'd put the carseat in the 2nd row- probably safer since it's in the middle of the car and is easy to get the child out/in. But, if you had to, you could put it in the 3rd row.

Re: Honda Pilot Owners Please Come In!
i have a 2007 honda pilot...i forgot what model but it is the top one. I LOVE IT!! so roomy and easy to drive. when i fill up my tank, i get approx. 300 miles out of it....that is going to work 5 days on the parkway (30 miles a day) and local driving. the gas mileage is not great but not bad either.
it fits 2 car seats comfortably. we do not use the 3rd seat (have no need for it) but it is small and only really good for tiny kids (leg room wise).
the back is very big with the 3rd seat down. i can fit so much more back there than with my ford escape.
if you need to use the 3rd seat on a regular basis i would just get a minivan.
we are very happy with our purchase! you can FM me if you have mroe questions. good luck!

Re: Honda Pilot Owners Please Come In!
I have a 2010 Honda Pilot Touring model. I just got it about a month ago so I can't give you too much feedback on mileage because we are still in the breaking in period. But I drive 50 miles a day roundtrip to work and local driving and I get about 300 miles to a tank of gas. I personally think the mileage is pretty good for the size of the vehicle.
I LOVE the Pilot! I had a CRV for a long time and I love how much space the Pilot has. I only have one child so I only have one car seat in my Pilot. HOwever, My friend also has a 2010 pilot and we had 2 car seats in hers yesterday and it was fine. The kids were comfy! I definitely think you could fit 5 kids. HOw old are the kids? Technically there is the LATCH system in all 3 seats in the middle row and on seat in the third row. You could put 2 car seats and 2 booster seats.
There is a decent amount of trunk space as well. I personally love the Pilot and am thrilled with my choice. Let me know if you have any other specific questions.
Oh and I have a Britax Marathon seat for DS rear facing and I am pretty tall and it fits great. Just an FYI!

I'm pretty sure the 3rd row has the LATCH system. the 2nd definetely does.
