Honda Pilot vs. odyssey
Looking to purchase a new car in the next few months. We currently have a Honda Civic and a CR-V. My husband uses the civic to commute to the train station and that’s it, it’s barely been driven though since he’s working from home since March, we just use the CR-V and that’s the car I drive with kids and to work which isn’t far. I was planning on getting the pilot since it’s AWD. I work in the hospital so not coming to work isn’t an option if it snows. My husband mentioned the Odyssey because of the kids and for comfort. I looked at the Odyssey and I see it doesn’t have AWD. The odyssey will be mine and the CR-V will be going to my husband. I’m concerned about driving in the show in the odyssey. Anyone have either of these cars and things they like/ dislike? Any feedback about the odyssey in the snow? I have 2 toddlers in car seats and we may or may not have another so the ability to fit 3 car seats is important

Honda Pilot vs. odyssey
I have the Pilot and love it - I just got my second.
My friend has the Odyssey and she’s had a lot of issues in the snow - they live at the top of a hill and she can’t get up it during snow.
ETA - the Pilot can only fit certain car seats three across though. Although it’s wider than the CRV - it can’t fit every car seat straight across.

I have no experience with either, but does your CRV have AWD? If so, you could always use that on snowy days if you think you’d prefer the Odyssey.

Re: Honda Pilot vs. odyssey
I have had both. We had the Pilot and after my 3rd was a year old we traded it in for the Odyssey (I had 3 kids under 2). The Odyssey definitely has more space and especially with car seats would be easier. It drives terrible in the snow. I miss my Pilot for that reason alone. But some years we have no snow and it’s fine.
If it were me, I would get the odyssey and switch with my husband for the CR-V on the days it snows.

Honda Pilot vs. odyssey
does it have to be honda? my cousin has a toyota sienna awd and i'm not a minivan person but i'm thinking about it now, lol. It's got a ton of space and the features are pretty great. She has had it about a year and a half now and absolutely loves it

Honda Pilot vs. odyssey
I swore I would never ever own a minivan BUT I purchased an Odyssey last fall and I love it to pieces. It is so roomy, sleek and drives so nice. It does have snow mode which is pretty decent but tbh nothing is as good as AWD. The new Toyota Sienna is super pretty too. I never like Toyota's styling for the Sienna but the new generation is nice and sleek and they have AWD.

Re: Honda Pilot vs. odyssey
We have both and the Pilot does much better in the snow. I went from a CR-V to. Pilot about a year after our third was born. The Pilot is much more comfortable for everyone compared to the CR-V. The Odyssey is what we use for road trips or when we’re all together. I would test drive them both and see what features you like best.
