Horrible taste in my mouth!!!!!
Anyone else have this? No matter what I eat I have this horrible disgusting taste in my mouth, which Is't helping my nausea!!!!
Any remedies ladies!!

I went through this, all my friends had no clue what it was!!
I asked my doc..he said hormonal changes and even reflux (which i have had this whole pregnancy) cause it...it was the most AWFUL symptom of pregnancy ever. I did not have it first time around so I feel your pain!!!!
Honestly...I was brushing my teeth and tongue with pure baking soda to get some relief. Milk made it worse, so did really sugary foods. Salt helped it..I found myself eating tortilla chips and salsa a lot (with antacids of course, lol)...
Eventually it all but went away around week 16. I still periodically can taste it even now at 23 weeks....but for the most part it is so much better and something I can deal with.
Some women wrote that lemon candy helped them....I didn't notice it helping me, but a lot of people seemed to get relief from that.
Good luck and I hope it passes soon!!!!

I use to get a horrible taste in my mouth and the only way I could describe it was, it tasted like I had eaten a piece of foil. I later found out from my obgyn its from my vitamins and that it should eventually go away and for the most part it has.

I have heard the metallic taste can be very common..
Mine was not however, it was more like a constant throw up taste. DISGUSTING. didn't matter what i did, everything tasted like vomit. And I had morning sickness on top of it...NOT FUN!!!

Thanks ladies!! It really is affecting me because Im nauseous as it is and this makes it worse and then I dont' want to eat. Then of course the vicious cycle of not eating and worse nausea and heartburn etc etc etc.
Im sitting here knowing i need to eat lunch but nothing seems appetizing!!!

try eating hard pepermint candy, its the only things that made it somewhat better for me

One thing I wish I did earlier was to attack the reflux which is a HUGE contributor to that bad taste...if there is acid from heartburn or reflux, you will get a bad taste in your mouth from it.
You may want to try antacids (call your doc and see what they recommend). Mine told me to start zantac 150 and it has been a GODSEND. My reflux is instantly gone and I feel ten times better...

yers my dr said its was from the iron in the vitamins. I havent had what your talking about, but i can agree morning sickness and a crappy taste in your mouth dont go good together.

see iv'e got both.. the taste is Metallic def!!! But I also have heartburn. My doc only said Tums!! I'll have to complain again soon and see if she can allow me to take something stronger!!
But its a metallic taste. I have the peppermint candy. helps while Im sucking on it. As soon as nothing is in your mouth...bad taste comes back.
Ahhh lovely things no one ever mentions!!!
