Horrific, terrible pain last night
So, OK- you know how you can sometimes get a horrible gas pain that really hurts your whole lower abdomen? It was pretty constant for about 2 hours last night. To the point where it exhausted me- I don't know how I fell asleep, I think I passed out.
I couldn't breathe, or walk, or even move if it requird my stomach muscles pulling me up.
I keep saying- "I'm no pain sissy". But oh my lord- what if I am? It was so bad, it almost drove me to tears. I was thinking- maybe they're contractions? I can not prepare myself for contractions to hurt more than that.
Though at least there is relief between contractions.
The pain is gone today, though I have hangover ache- my stomach feels sore.
Max Power is moving so much- I'm not worried about him.
Has anyone else experienced this horrific thing?
I feel stupid calling the docs office about gas pain. I can't remember my last good poop, but I HAVE poooped.

Could it be Braxton Hicks? I don't have any personal experience but it wouldn't hurt to check with the doctor.

YIKES! It doesn't sound like gas if your muscles hurt today.. Maybe just a bad braxton hick???
I would call your doc if your worried. But if Max is moving around alot, he's probably not stressed out by it. Unfortunately, you're the one to suffer

I've had horrific gas pain to the point of tears. It's no fun!!
But don't be afraid to call the dr. if it will make you feel better. I'm sure they are used to calls like this!
Glad to hear Max Power is kicking away and you're feeling better!

It definitely wasnt BH- but there were times they coincided, lke the horrible gas pains caused BHs.
Meanwhile, Max Power was jumping around in there, and every time he moved, the pain subsided.

How awful I hope you are feeling better now. I had the same type of pain a few nights ago, to the point where I thought I was going into labor but after 2-3 hours it subsided. Luckily, I had a doctor's appointment the next day so I asked what the ^#)$*^* that could have been. She said it may have been the baby changing into a head down position... and in fact it was because the week before  was breech. Maybe Max Power was assuming his birth position?

Oh man! I have had BH and I don't think it could be confused w/ gas pain, plus you said yours was constant w/ no relief, right? Sorry to hear you were suffering like that!!

Sounds like gas pains to me. I occassionally get awful gas pains. Lying on my left side helps a bit. It can be really painful. My friend went to the hospital this summer b/c she thought she was in labor the pain was so intense - but it was just gas. Feel better. Ease up on the Chalupas!

OMG lol at the chalupas- because I am actually dumbfounded about what could have caused the gas. I was TB free yesterday!
I'm going to call the doc, becaus eI am positive it was gas pain, perhaps combined with BH or Max Power assiming the position, who knows. But I think I may be constipated, too- which explains so much.
And my stomach still hurts.
Lying on my left side- totally the position I passed out in.
I'm glad to hear that your friend went to L&D, because I swear- it was so bad- and now I don't feel like a pus.

For real. Maybe you need to drink the Metamucil on your TB free days. You're body is clearly dependant on TB to aid in your digestion.

sorry your night was so terrible
if it's any consolation.....
when I was young, I had bad digestive issues and would get really evil gas with diahrea.... While I've been told by surgeons that I have a very high pain threshold, these cramps were so bad I would collapse on the floor and curl into the fetal position.
even in my youth, I thought immediately about labor pains... becuase if they are much worse than those cramps, I don't think I could survive, adrenaline or not. That pain was INTENSE.
I asked the physician treating me how these horrible pains would compare, and she said they ARE comperable.
So don't worry about labor pains being too much worse..... Besides, unlike gas, labor has productive results, and you'll forget the pain as soon as you see your

you guys have really eased my mind. I would be really upset to find that my pain threshhold isn't what I thought it was.
My other comfort is in knowing that contractions have relief in between them.

I came in to see how you were and THIS is what I find?
Stop being such a wuss  ....NOTHING compares to the pain of labor. Sorry to burst your gas bubble, but i had some serious bouts of gas, thankfully only a few, and I can't remember anything feeling like those damned contrations....
Just make sure you get that epi early my dear, I waited until the bitter end....thought I was a tough girl and it came back to bite me in the coolie.....
Hoping all is well otherwise......
