it's going to be a long 2 and a half hours.
I still dont have much hope for this plan. I think it was a 700 billion dollar band aid. All they did was treat the symptom, not the underlying cause, imo. Regardless of where the market ends up today, i dont feel very hopeful or confident that this was the best decision.

I agree. I, too am a little iffy especially when i just heard the unemployment numbers. I just don't think this is going to work. I will be very surprised.

I hear you. scary proposition to be 700B WRONG.
I hope something good comes out of this.
sidenote: that bipartisan effort ended quick!  I am listening to the Majority leader and poor Bush got whacked again

They should have removed all the little *extras* before passing it. They just come out to, I don't know, 150 BILLION dollars.
ETA: I still am against bailing out corporations.

I completely agree.
Up until now, he still kept going strong- despite all of the opposition. But now, his voice- he sounds like he's just done. I bet he's ready to just shout out "PEACE! I'm outtttttaa hereeeeee"

This is exactly what I said yesterday on another post. I think it will hold us over for awhile but we will end up in the same place we are now eventually b/c people are going to change their ways.
