House offer update/vent
We put an offer in 2 Sundays ago. I posted on here how we were going back and forth with numbers. Their selling agent is pushing for us.
The problem is it's a divorced couple. The man wants to sell at our price, but the woman doesn't. The real estate agent thinks she just doesnt want to sell and is having an emotional time agreeing. Their agent is trying to get her to decide today and is explaining to her she is going to lose these offers.
Supposeably there is another offer on the house. My agent thinks it's close to our offer. Wouldnt they tell us the offer, so it would start a bidding war and raise up the price?
I really want to know today. It's so frustrating. I feel like we are so close, and part of me thinks we will get it, and the other part thinks we will lose it.
ugh. just needed to vent I guess.

Re: House offer update/vent
Just keep at it. There were so many parties involved when we bought our house.
Long story short.
It's a two-family house. Two sisters bought it, one lived with her fam upstairs, the other with her fam downstairs. The sister that lived upstairs died a years ago. The husband brought his new girlfriend to live with him upstairs. Eventually, the sister downstairs, and her deceased sister's husband upstairs had it out and they decided to sell the house. They couldn't agree for the life of them what price to accept, and went back and forth for WEEKS with REA's and lawyers. Finally they both agreed to accept our offer.
Moral of the story is just don't give up. Wait it out and see what happens. You've got nothing to lose!

Thank you. That does give me hope. We definitely are waiting it out with our fingers crossed. This place is PERFECT for us in every way. I know you're not supposed to fall in love with a house, but it's too late for that. Hopefully, it goes well. Thanks!

Buying a house is so stressful, just keep thinking positive and remember that if its not the right one for you the right one will come along. Seller's can be so difficult
