How can I get a new phone out of Verizon?

How can I get a new phone out of Verizon?
My upgrade was in January but I let DD "have" my upgrade since she needed a new phone worse than I did. Her upgrade isn't until June.
DD#2 destroyed my phone last night. No screen. I can't text, see who is calling, see if I have VM, see if I missed a call and can't use google maps. 
Does anyone have any ideas how I can finagle a phone without having to pay full retail price?

Good Luck. I have been trying to get a new phone for the past week and Verizon is being crazy about it because of the iphone. My DH finally got a guy on the phone that was honest with him and said if it wasnt fot the iphone release we'd give you an upgrade. He said wait a few months til the iphone craziness is over and then Verizon will be more willing to give things.

This is actually good to know. We were trying right after Christmas to get a Droid, I was eligible for an early upgrade, DH was not. He had been told if you keep at it, they'll work with you, but NO DICE. Probably because of the upcoming iPhone release. Maybe we'll try again soon.

suggest an upgrade but say yo WONT get the iphone - My friend did it and it worked - She got a early upgrade but just couldnt get the iphone....
