How can I get DC to eat fruits and veggies

DS is 16 months old and he refuses to eat fruits and veggies. I have tried many times, and he puts it in his mouth, then spits it right back out. He will eat stage 3 baby fruit, but not real fruit cut up. Any ideas on how to get him to eat them, or am I just out of luck.

If you figure it out...let me know. It runs in the family Although...DD will eat fruits...just not veggies

i puree green stuff for my 1 year old, and now my 3 1/2 year old has once again taken an interest as well...bonus!

for example: i steam and saute onion, carrots, parsnip, carrots, broccoli and spinach, blend and freeze. they each have a few defrosted cubes with various meals and eat it willingly.

DD#2 will chew steak, but won't touch solid vegetables, so i just have been sticking to what works!

with DD#1 i found the way to get her to eat anything she did not want to was to repeatedly put it on her plate whether she ate it or not. she also watches us eat and eventually just starts to copy...

oh, and try playing around with how you cut things...size and shape...i know that DD#1 was such a PITA when it came to meat and it took me forever to figure out that she was more prone to eat things when cut a certain way

cutting fruits like matchsticks has worked pretty well with DD#2 so far, and she loooooves bananas...

DD really likes her fruits and veggies, but I found these Happy Bites that she really loves and are great in a pinch.
