How can I get my 8 week old to sleep in her crib?

Right now she is sleeping in her bouncy seat IN the crib, but she is getting big. Sometimes if she slouches down, her feet hang off Chat Icon When we try putting her on her back she screams. My mom says we have to start letting her CIO a little. My sister does this with her baby (she's 5 days older than Maddie), but only because she has 2 other kids she has to attend to, so sometimes the baby has to cry a bit. My DH and I never really let Maddie cry and attend to her right away. Do you think we should just put her in her crib and let her CIO? Thanks so much! This is soo hard, especially since she slept 7 hours straight last night!

Does she like to fall asleep with something in particular? A pacifier, toy, etc? Put her in with that and see how it goes, then take away the toy once she falls asleep. When she falls asleep in the bouncer, can you transfer her then?

I'm not a BTDT but I saw this while filling out my registry...maybe she likes to be inclined (why she prefers the bouncer to being flat on her back).

I think she is just used to the bouncy seat now b/c she has been sleeping in there. Can you rock her to sleep and than her in her crib? I wouldnt let her CIO for a long time, but for a minute or 2 is ok and than go in and soothe her and repeat until she calms down.
