How do I break the swaddle habit? The MB is getting too small

I tried 1 arm out last night and it was disaterous. She was up every 2 hours finallly about 1 am I wrapped her regularly. Any suggestions?

I just posted on this the other day..I am having the same problems. I tried leaving one arm out and it too was disasterous...Up all night...Now though, even if I wrap her tight, she gets out..and is moving around like crazy.
HELP

i cut the bottom off... and left her feet dangling...

i was planning on then sewing another piece of material to keep her feet enclosed but we stopped the swaddling about 2 weeks later

I untucked DD's feet for a while.

Then we went cold turkey. She was fine. I just had to rock her to sleep.

I'm trying to do the same thing.

I went and bought large Swaddle-Mes for now (14-22lbs). DS can still bust out but, I tried to wean him off and it was a disaster.

I think I'm going to try to keep him swaddled until he rolls over from back to belly - I think he will sleep well unswaddled on his belly.

you really have to wait until ur DC is ready to be unswaddled. i tried a month ago and he would not go to sleep. then a couple of weeks ago i decided to do the 1 arm and it worked. next night did the other arm and he slept. 3rd night just the body was swaddled and he slept. 4th night and every night after no swaddle!! they really just have to be ready to do it. GL!
