How do i get my 4 year old to stay in her bed at night?
Its been a battle for weeks, maybe a month or two. We start putting the girls to bed around 8 ish - and my 4 year old will constantly walk in our room at least 15 times or more before she finally falls alseep around 10 - 11 ish!! Its exhausting. Ive left the light on, given her dolls, water etc (anything for her to stay in her room). She doesn't nap during the day so I know she is tired. Its exhausting - i've had enough. I started taking things away and today there is no tv. She just wants to sleep in our bed and i don't want to let that happen. She walks up during the night around 3 am and will walk in our room - I just let her stay in our bed at that point - BUT I need my time at night to watch some tv, relax, hang out with DH.
Any advice for keeping this child in her room?

When you find out let me know too! My almost 4 yr old does this EVERY NIGHT and my 6.5 yr old goes to bed ok, but is always coming into my bed every night.
My 4yr old has every excuse under the sun and just will not stay in his bed!!!
Let's just say that mommy is getting NO sleep and I'm 6.5 months PG! I'm so tired and I work FT. We only have a queen bed right now and my DH is 6'4" so he takes up half the bed. Where's mommy?.... hanging off the end getting punched and kicked all night long. So frustrating!!!

We follow something we saw on one of those Nanny TV shows.
As long as she isn't sick or there is no other issue DD is (repeatedly) silently but lovingly walked back to bed and tucked in. We haven't had much of an issue with it but friends that I know that have done it had a few rough nights but then found it worked pretty quickly after that.
We don't talk, don't turn on lights and don't stay in her room.

Consistency.. Stick to your guns! It's the battle of the wills!
No drink, no toys, no nothing at bedtime.
continue putting her back into her room and back into bed. No discussion.
I would also stop allowing her into your bed at 3 am..
My son used to do it and I went so far as to lock my door and I would find him passed out at the door! that ended quickly after that.
