How do I handle this with out looking like the evil mother/DIL??
Ok so I am using another name for any of my family or friends lurking out there.... Here is my problem......................
So my daughters christening is this weekend and I really do not want my daughter passed around for everyone and there mother to hold her.....reason being (and I really hate to put this out there like this) but this past weekend we had a BBQ and my SIL was there.....now DH and I really do not get along with her...Anyway...so my DD was laying on the floor on her play blanket (she is 5 months old) well she rolled over and my SIL went to pick her up and roll her back over and she banged her head on my hardwood floors and she started screaming!! I went to go take her from my SIL and my MIL ran in the house and was like''OHHH what happened to my baby" and took her away from my SIL....Mind you I am standing there like Can I have my baby please........Oh and my DH was not in the house when this happened otherwise he would have FLIPPED out!!
So now my question is how do I handle this for the weekend.....I know they will be drinking as they where this past weekend and I dont want something worse happening if that was not bad enough ya know..... Do I say something?? If so how and what?? OR do I let my DH do it??

hmm i dont think there really is any way of avoiding them holding her without coming off badly.. but what you could do is everytime they are holding her, you can walk over and say you want to take a picture.. and take her away.

I am a Bi&CT So I would flat out tell her off and tell her do not touch my child........................................
I did NOT let my Dead mother in law hold Sofia at the christening or any of my husbands family..
I hate them and wish them to die..
But I don't speak to them anymore so my worries are over..
But I would nip it in the bud its YOUR child you do what you want.
I wish you luck!

I don't know if you can do it without people taking offense. It's up to you to not care. The only suggestion I can make and what I'll probably be doing as well at DD's christening, is to say that she's getting cranky/overstimulated because of all the people or she's tired and you don't want her to be a monster when you put her to bed that night so hands off please...
People will still talk though.. that's just what they do.
