Looking for Mother's Helper
DH and I decided it's the way to go. I know a few girls here were looking in the past. Anyone have any suggestions or know anyone. We're looking for someone 3 evenings a week. Any info would be appreciated

Re: Looking for Mother's Helper
If you are looking for someone in the evening then you might luck out and get a high school kid. Maybe ask a friend with kids in high school for a recomendation or advertise in a local paper.

Re: Looking for Mother's Helper
I used to be a mother's helper (back in the day). I would see if any of your friends have mother's helpers. Maybe their helpers have friends who can recommend someone.
Also, if you belong to a temple or church, you can ask around to see if there is anyone that is in the community who they could recommend.

Re: Looking for Mother's Helper
Call the guidance dept of your local high school. They can recommend the more responsible students. They might also put you in touch with the National Honor Society kids who are looking for a job or service credit.

Re: Looking for Mother's Helper
I'm still looking. I was trying to go by word of mouth b/c I'd rather use someone who was recommended, but nothing. Next step is to post at the library & high schools I guess. I think I'd like a college girl though. Beggers can't be choosers I guess.

Re: Looking for Mother's Helper
I'm on the hunt, too! My library has a babysitting seminar next month where parents can meet teenagers who are "qualified" to babysit. Maybe your library has the same.
