How do the mommies get up in the morning?

Do you get up before your DC with your DH or alarm clock or does your DC wake you up?

Right now my DC wakes me up and always has. I am thinking of maybe getting up a hour ealier though to have some me time. Does anyone do this?

I let them wake me up. We play for a bit and then they eat breakfast around 8-8:30 and then I take a shower when Andy goes down for a nap around 10am.

I relish every last possible second of sleep so I wake up with her.

I get up when he gets up and then I'll usually take my shower when he goes down for a nap. If we have to be somewhere early, I'll get up first so I can take a shower before he gets up.

Funny you posted this, I always get up when my son gets up, he's my alarm...but just last night I was thinking I'd get up an hour earlier starting today...that didn't happen! I'll try again tomorrow!

Right now I am taking advantage of every wink of sleep I can before Gianna wakes up-she gets me up.

I know when in July my sleeping days are over again for a couple months

Dh wakes at 5:30am, so I usually wake up but stay in bed (usually can't get back to sleep), Alex tends to get up around 6-6:30 anyway.
So there's no way I'm getting up earlier than that!

hahahaha yeah right! DD is my alarm clock - i never even set it for work anymore unless I have to get up REALLY early because she ALWAYS wakes me up. These days she is up by 6, 6:30 am!!

I get up with DS. He goes to sleep pretty early, so I get things done at night.

I get up an hour before DD to shower, maybe eat some breakfast, make sure I have everything together for the day (take bottles out of fridge into daycare bag, etc.), then I have to wake up DD (such a crime!) at about 6-6:15 to get ready for daycare (change diaper/clothes, nurse her, etc.)..

On weekends I 'sleep in' until she wakes up, usually by about 6:30 anyway lol..

during the week I wake up before they do. I get up early for work.
On the weekends I wit for them to wake me up, or will sometimes get up when DH does, and get some stuff done before they get up.

I'm still on maternity leave, so I get up when she gets up. Sometimes I am lucky enough to sleep until 9. But, I have been thinking about getting up earlier so I can get showering and stuff done before she gets up.

Generally, Al gets up with (or before) Ella, and I sleep in. On days he's traveling, I let her wake me up.

Noah wakes us up.

Some days he wakes up at 7.30, sometimes its 6.30...but for a few days this week he has had us up at 5 am!!!


eta...if I had my way I would sleep until 10 every single morning.

Roman gets up anywhere from 6-6:45. I'm a morning person so I like to get up around 5-5:30 and do my thing at my pace.

I usually get up around 5:30 or 6, then DS wakes up shortly after. Lately, he's been beating me to the punch and hanging out in his crib until I get up around 6.

I used to wake up before DD with an alarm, pump, and then she would wake up around 7:30 so I would nurse her.

Then she started waking up at 6. So no alarm needed there.

This week she has been waking up after 7- so with my new job, I started using an alarm again.

Our little one wakes me up most of the time. If he doesn't then I have to get up at 7am to get my oldest ready for school. I never get to sleep in

I get up when DD wakes me up with her babbling. She's waking anywhere between 7:30 and 8:30.

If DH wakes me up before she's up, I'll shower and then get the kids up. I am lucky in that they both sleep in a bit and aren't up at the crack of dawn.

she wakes me up...it's a rare ocassion if I'm up before her, but when I am, I shower then instead of waiting for her nap.
