Re: How do the mommies get up in the morning?

Well, let's see my first thought this morning was "Ouch! Crap I need to cut Maddie's toenails!"

Normally during the week, I get up right after DH leaves (about 1-2 hours before we need to leave). I organize the things I need to for the day & then wake them up. I have dressed them in their sleep before & put them in the car to go to daycare.

During the week, I set an alarm so I can feel DS before I get in the shower and leave for work.
On the weekends, I let DS wake me Chat Icon

If I am working I wake up about 6:30 to take a shower and get ready for work and they usually get up around 7-7:30 so I feed them and spend a little time with them before the babysitter comes.

On days i don't work I wake up when they do and then get ready after they are fed.

We wake up together- I usually take her into bed with me at 4am when she wakes for a feeding. I love this time in the early morning. I dread going back to work and setting an alarm to get up before her.Chat Icon

I normally get up before them, but even if they wake me up they stay in the crib until 7:30 so I can shower and start to get ready. After I shower I let them out of the cribs and they play upstaris while I get ready and get them dressed. I like having the time to play with them before leaving for work. DH is gone at 4 am so it is just me in the am. On the weekends we normally do the same thing except they can come out fo their cribs while I am in the shower and sometimes we all watch TV in bed with Daddy and the dogs.

If they happen to wake up late or I wake up at 6 am, I get so much accomplished in that time. I start laundry, fold clothes, watch tv.

I wake up on my own between 8 and 9 am. I CAN'T sleep in. Kaitee doesn't get up till around 9. So most mornings I get a least 1/2 hour to myself.

Re: How do the mommies get up in the morning?

M-F my alarm goes off at 6:30 (really, it's 6:15, I fool myself into thinking I'm sleeping later by setting it ahead. I'm a dork!). Ava doesn't wake up until 7, when I'm about out the door. that's when I usually pop her into the pack n play with a bottle while JT sleeps for another 30 minutes or so.
On weekends, we all kind of sleep in. I sleep until I hear her singing or talking, which is usually around 7:30-8am. I definitely wake her earlier during the week by moving around, taking a shower, etc.

I let him wake me up most of the time. He goes to bed late so I need to get as much sleep as I can, especially since I'm pregnant now.

Re: How do the mommies get up in the morning?

Both are up by 7am usually, with Molly often waking at 6 and suometimes I get her to go back to bed. So 9 out of 10 times I let them wake me up. And I take a shower during Molly's morning nap while Jack plays or watches a video.

I have to say though there were a few morninngs the kids slept in and I naturally woke up at 6:30 and I got up showered, had coffee, watched some morning news and it was the most refreshing thing ever. Like a little vacation! And I vowed to do that every morning, but sometimes I just can't do it!

Re: How do the mommies get up in the morning?

On days I am home alone, I get up before DS for the most part but he is typically a decent sleeper. DH gets up for work at 6am and gets ready in the room so I am usually half up at that point. Usually after he leaves, I get up and get my shower and makeup done and get my internet time. I really enjoy the peaceful time alone. I usually get up around 6:30ish and DS usually gets up between 730/815. Weekends I typically sleep in since DH likes to and gets mad when he hears me getting ready and puttering around the house - lol.

Well, DS has been waking me up at 5am and DH has to be out the door at 5:30am, so I usually get up with the baby, then get DH up and out while walking Christopher around with a bottle.

But he is only 4 weeks old, so I am expecting that to change, it always does.
