I don't find them annoying nor phony, all people should be that happy.. God bless them.
What I find annoying are the people who always have a puss on their face and are always miserable.
I am generally a very happy person and always have a smile on my face, I have a lot in life to be happy about.

I don't know any happy all the time people. Most of the people I know are normal, just like me

I'm quite a happy person, but I am very sarcasticly happy, so its not necessarily sincere.
I am always really suspicious of people who seem toooo happy.

I was lucky enough to have two such people at my last job. The nicest people I've ever met in my life. I wish I had their kind of grace under pressure and knew their secret.
I was suspicious of them at first but after years and years of working with them, I learned they really are that sweet and caring.
Even when things went wrong in their job or lives, they handled it with such class and optimism, they became people I looked up to.

I try to remain content and happy while at work. I feel like a smile may be contagious and turn someone's unhappy day around.
Of course it could do the complete opposite and make them pizzed off even more, but I'd rather take the chance and try to improve someones day by smiling.
ETA: besides, my friends know the real me and know that I not everything is always honky dory, but I don't need work people knowing my life.

To be honest, I am a little envious of them.......I tend to be very negative, I let things bother me and all it does is drag me down. I look at things as "half-empty".
I wish I could let things roll off my shoulders and be happy. God bless them.

i'm generally very happy in my interactons with people. But there is this one consultant that is always laughing- i mean every time she talks she laughs. it's really annoying, i think it's a nervous happiness and she doesn't know how to be professional without putting on this i'm so perky persona (or she doesn't know how to control her perkiness). either way- it's too annoying at work.
in other life, i don't mind happy people- it's refreshing to see their outlook.
