How do you girls stay team green???
I was never on team green before and I said before I got PG that I would be on Team green if I was ever able to get PG again so I could have that one surprise that I never had. It's soooo hard lately. I'm REALLY curious to know for some reason lately. How can I stay team green??? Part of me doesn't want to anymore? HELP!!!

Re: How do you girls stay team green???
Not gonna lie- its tough and its a committment- but at the end it will be all worth it!
I do struggle with it at every sono when the doctor offers to tell us- but its so fun having friends and family guess and even bet against each other

Re: How do you girls stay team green???
Crashing here... we were on team green and I really loved having pple guess. I think you only get so many surprises in life and to hear... "Congrats, it's a boy" for the first time is the most amazing thing ever. It was worth the 42 weeks (yes, I was late) LOL
I think it's hard in the 2nd tri, but once you get into 3rd tri you'll be happy you waited
we love the color green and registered for two beddings. If you look in my album you'll see we did a "forest" theme, which is very neutral. Once DS came home we got a lot of boy stuff.

Re: How do you girls stay team green???
I can't stay team . At my last appointment we asked if the doc could peek, and he did but baby's legs were crossed so he couldn't tell. I go again on the 10th so, I am hoping to find out then. I just can't wait either.

Re: How do you girls stay team green???
It hasnt been hard. Actually it has been FUN!
#1 it has saved me money, I haven't bought a single thing for the baby b/c I want to wait to know the gender
#2 even though everyone is mad I am not finding out, it has been so much fun! People have bets going, they guess at every possible moment, interpret every sign and symptom. I have coworkers and family members "fighting" about what the gender is and trash talking -- its a lot of fun!
#3 I can't wait to have that moment of "IT'S A. . . ." it is something that I dream of!

I agree. We were team green with DD and will be this time also.
It's also a great incentive for the delivery room.

You ladies are so strong!!!!
I couldn't do it for a second! I'm already peeved when people tell me what they think (I'm only 9 weeks!) because I don't want to guess -- I just wanna know!
I'm excited for you all! I've heard such amazing stories from people who were team but I already know I'm gonna be finding out the minute we can.

Granted, I'm only 10 weeks, but so far it's been exciting and fun. My family is already making guesses.
I always thought I'd find out. I'm such a planner and had definite ideas of how I want the nursery to look. But once I got my BFP, I changed my mind. There are so few surprises in life and I think this is a really great one.

Re: How do you girls stay team green???
I am Team Green (not by choice- I'm a surrogate and my SIL & BIL don't want to find out).
It's not as hard as I thought (we found out the sex when I was PG with DS) - then again I still have 17 more weeks to go!
This is a test, b/c I want to go Team Green when I get PG again!

What a wonderful thing you are doing for your SIL & BIL. It takes such a caring person to carry a baby for someone else!

DD stayed in our room in the bassinet for 3 months. So you definitely have time to do the nursery after the baby comes if you're planning on having your LO stay in the room with you.

ITA with all of this. My family has a pool going to see what its going to be, when, weight, etc. Its fun to hear people guess what they think it is based on old wives tales. Its tough when I see the clothes in the stores (team green clothes are not that fun!) But I can't wait to hear "It's a..." when I am delivering.

Re: How do you girls stay team green???
You know, I just ran into a friend this week and we spoke about the fact that I'm expecting #3 (after 2 girls...so I'm in a similar situation to you); she has 3 girls. She was for the first two, but because she was hoping for a boy, she found out the third time. I asked her how the experience differed and she told me it was about a million times better NOT finding out. If she went for a fourth, she would definitely stay team again!
OK, that said, I've been Team both times so far and will remain so until October, so I can't compare anything. However, *I* find it more exciting when friends and family leave the surprise until delivery day...especially in this day and age where it seems everyone's either induced or c-sectioned. So, especially since I'm having a planned c/s, there's no question in my mind to remain
OMG...First time Team mommies...(disclaimer: I know it's a surprise at 20 weeks or 40) but you are in for SUCH an exciting moment. I will never forget the moment laying on the operating table () when they announced "It's a GIRL!!!" I almost rolled off! We were screaming in surprise sure that it would be a boy!! Never mind all the anticipation for all nine months. We went around with our video camera during the last month or two asking everyone their predictions, etc. I could go on and on, but I'll leave it with this...
DON'T DO IT!!!

Re: How do you girls stay team green???
Crashing...
I loved being team It was so much fun having everyone guess and all the baby pools that were going added to the excitment!
I had my dh video the reaction of my family & friends as he announced "it's a boy!" to everyone in the waiting room at the hospital. My BIL and cousin also videoed my dh coming out to annouce, those video's are priceless I still choke up when I watch them almost a year later. The excitment and everyone screaming was so much fun to see
