Re: How do you keep it all balanced?
I think about the grand scheme of things....today I was working on some finance crap at work and I was thinking about my friend who just had a baby on Thursday...IMO that is what life is all about...
I am not saying that this works because yes, I drink too but I just think about the fact that - is this going to matter in the long run? NO.

I'm a total disaster right now myself, so I have no advice. Good Luck!

Re: How do you keep it all balanced?
I come on here and read all the sob stories people post as well as the real tragedies that people face. Then I realize my life isn't as bad/stressful as it sometimes seems.

Re: How do you keep it all balanced?
Right now, I just try to enjoy my days off without cleaning or shopping. I do evrything on my regular work days. This way, when I am off, I relax!

Wine.....
I also have an attitude of don't sweat the small stuff. Because between working, having 1 year old twins and everything else you have to do (cleaning, cooking, etc.).
And finally when all else fails and after the babies have gone to sleep, I let everything sit around and get into bed at 7-8PM and get a good nights sleep. You would be amazed what an 10-11 hour sleep can do for your mind.

Re: How do you keep it all balanced?
Can I just tell you- for the last few weeks, I've MISSED how crazy busy my life used to be. I'm bored.
I remember racing from my full time job to grad school...cramming for exams or writing papers in the middle of the night on the weekends...
Now I'm bored.

Re: How do you keep it all balanced?
when I have time off to relax....that is exactly what I do.
I cry sometimes and have breakdowns when I am extremely stressed. Sometimes it helps to get my tears out.

I can't seem to just get a break and was wondering how all of you busy guys keep everything balanced without going crazy.....
Is there anything specific you're talking about or just life in general?
Well, they are all kind of big things.
Our kitchen is totally dismantled and all it's contents are in my dining room. Baby is due in 10 weeks and we have no room for a toothpick in my house right now.
I have had obligation after obligation, the loss of my BIL which has put a huge damper on our lives.
It's just a lot to do in a short amount of time.

I find myself asking this very question everyday. I feel like sometimes its the only conversation Jim and I have.
