I kiss DS all over. His cheeks, lips, feet and even his cute chubba thighs. I see nothing wrong with it. To each his own.
Me too-I don't think its weird at all. As a matter of fact I think its weird that people would feel weird kissing their children on the lips since you formed them in your own body.........They are your flesh and blood

I'm in the minority -- I kiss my boys everywhere BUT their lips -- maybe because it wasn't done in my family, I don't know. I would feel funny doing it. I am, however, a huge fan of giving big raspberries on their tummies!!

not a mommy yet, but i feel very strongly about lip kisses.
HSV 1 (cold sores - a form of herpes) is transmitted through contact - even if the person doesn't currently have an active sore. I've suffered from cold sores since I was a little kid, and this is how I got the virus.
No one will be kissing my child on the lips - not mommy, daddy, or anyone else.
Thats a different case-I don't think that is weird

my parents never kissed us on the mouth or anywhere near the mouth/lips - when i was growing up (around 5ish) when i saw my cousins kiss their parents on the lips i thought it was weird and creepy  - i guess i just thought that b/c we didn't do it in our house and i thought that doing it was wrong?? so i will admit that i did think it was strange - but my family is NOT affectionate at ALL and i realize that now that i am older....
my nephew is going to be 3 next month - and he kisses me on the lips sometimes - and i think it is just the cutest thing ever and it makes me i dont kiss him on the lips b/c i am sure that his thing with his mom and dad - but sometimes he just kisses me on mine and it is too cute!!
so when i have kids i will def be kissing them all over their face!
so i do not think it's weird anymore...i actually think MY family is weird for having such a lack of affection
i just posted b/c i went from thinking no lips to lips and i dont even have a kid yet!

I kiss my nephew on the lips, cheeks, forehead, arms, belly...anywhere I see fit and I couldn't imagine not doing it. & I LOVE getting kisses from him, they are the best! I mean of course when he is older I wouldn't just as I don't kiss my parents on the lips now (that to me is awkward & my sister & I laugh about it all the time b/c it happened at her wedding and we both were like DOH!!) but when my DC is here he/she will be swarm with kisses ALL OVER!!
(I mean, i wouldn't do it to any child of course lol just my own and nephew!)
