So the Fabuloso post got me thinking as I was reading the responses. How do you know something cleans well? I feel like unless I use bleach products my bathrooms won't be clean.

Trial and error. I'll try something that may meet a cleaning need - sometimes it works, sometimes not. But I noticed I tend to go back to my basics...bleach, ammonia, windex & pledge.

I judge by how clean it looks after and how long it stays clean.

Fabuloso is only a deodorizer not a disinfectant...

So Fab really don't clean....

That's good to know... I thought it was just a deodorizer all this time...

Bleach doesn't clean--it disinfects.

Most dirt is visible--sometimes ( I find this with floors a lot) the surface looks fine, but, a damp cloth wiped on the surface will show dirt.

A good cleanig product will remove visible dirt & not leave a residue.

Not everything needs to be bleached. I just use it on thing that will get mildewy (bathroom grout) & on the counters when chicken is involved, & occasionally the trash can.

ITA. a good test of the effectiveness of a cleaning product is the visible dirt that appears on the rag or mop after the area is cleaned. ie: my wood floors always appear clean but after mopping or spot cleaning i realize that there is a good amount of dirt that is not visible.

Bleach is very hazardous to use to clean. It's toxic and can cause respiratory issues as well as other problems. Most household cleaners contain toxins. Check out the MSDS sheets for bleach and chemicals found in windex, fantastic.. it's all toxic chemicals. I have been using the Get clean products from Shaklee for over a year now and I have not had to spen a dime on any cleaners cause the one bottle of concentrate lasted me over a year. You only use very little combined with water. My floors are ALWAYS clean, tub, tile, kitchen, appliances.. you name it. I love the stuff.
Oh also forgot to mention - the stuff also disinfects.

I only use Clorox in the bathroom and to disinfect, but I hate using it. When I am PG I don't use it at all.

Where do you order Shaklee from?
