how do you know ur dc has pet allergies?

ds has had alot of congestion since the middle of December (ds was born in oct)
his ped said it was alot of mucus in the nose/throat area. he had a dry cough and sneezing.
a week and a half ago the cough turned into a wet cough and he got bronchilitis. he was sick for a week and started getting better.

we were at my mothers house for the weekend and he seemed fine - just a couple of sneezes that let out big boogies (sorry!)
yesterday afternoon we got home and ds has been very stuffy again - he sneezes and its like a sneeze thats stuffy but nothing comes out. he hasnt coughed again though

we have a puggle and although hes small geez he sheds as if he were a 100lb dog. i keep up with it every day, air out the house lysol everything but now im wondering if ds is allergic to the dog.

ds goes for his second vaccinations today and im not sure if hes stuffy again bc hes getting sick again or its allergies and if its allergies i cannot see ds suffer and have to look for a new home for our pet.

how do i know our dog is causing this?

I just had my DS tested at 2, since I suspected he had seasonal allergies. When the allergist did the test, I found out that he is also allergic to cats and feathers. She did a skin test in the office that took about 10 minutes.

From what I have been told, those kinds of allergies don't develop that early.

Everytime DD would hug our cats she would start sneezing over and over, her eyes would get red and her nose would run. If we kept her away from the cats it disappeared but as soon as she started hugging them again it started up again.
