How do you spread your PB and J?
So, DH hates that I take the knife from the PB and the use the same knife to dip into the jelly then spread. He uses the knife for PB and then a separate spoon for the jelly.
I figured it's all going to the same place so what's the big deal. Then we had friends staying with us from the hurricane so she made sandwiches the same way as DH.
Am I the only one that uses the same knife? LOL

How do you spread your PB and J?
If you get the squeezable jelly that would solve your problem!
I sometimes use spoon, sometimes not. Depends on how lazy I am and how low we are on clean silverware at the moment.

I use separate utensils.
I don't know why I would randomly be serving jelly to people, but I'd never want to make something with jelly for a person who is allergic to peanut butter if I dipped a peanut buttered knife in the jelly. I know...that's a bit of a stretch...because I could just tell the person not to eat the jelly...but I worry.

I use the same knife, but wipe it off. There is nothing worse than peanut butter or anything for that matter in the jelly. Gross.

This is exactly what I do. DH hates it for some reason. Never thought of using separate in case someone is allergic like another poster said. I always think PB always goes with jelly. Lol.

That's how I do it too, although sinec becoming allergic to peanuts we don't have it in the house, so there wouldnt be a concern of cross contamination.

I do too. Never thought to do it any other way...until my DH suggested we get the squeezable jelly. Now it's no longer an "issue"

I use squeezable b/c I hate when it gets to the bottom of the jar and you have to practically stick you hand in the stickiness to get it out.

I use a knife for the jelly, then wipe it off on the other slice of bread and use it in the pb. It keeps the knife a lot cleaner this way instead of dipping it in the pb first and then the jelly!

I wipe the knife clean or wash it before dipping it into the jelly... I use jelly for things other than PBS and J (my ds likes cream cheese and jelly, I make certain appetizers) , and I wouldn't want PBS remnants or flavor in the jelly then.

squeezable or separate.... i find it gross to see jelly in the PB jar or PB in the jelly jar. they should remain separate until they are on the bread!
