How do you store your homemade baby food?

I usually use the ice cube trays for freezing and then I transfer the cubes to small snack bags and label them.

I have a bunch of empty clean baby food jars. Can I use them to freeze and them re-heat when I need it?

I just found this....

"If you can collect baby food jars from friends, store the food in them, and then place the jar in hot water when you are preparing your baby's meal."

im not sure about the jars, but i did realize after MONTHS of freezing in ince trays and then popping them out, that the trays PROBABLY contain BPA..not too sure how long it would take if im just freezing in them and popping them out to taint any of the food,.but needless to say i was upset with myself.

I just posted the same question a while ago and found within seconds of posting that you should not freeze homemade baby food in baby food jars. The jars are not tested for freezing temperatures.

I wouldn't worry about BPA unless you are putting the food into the trays while it is still hot.

As for storing the food in the jars - I wouldn't do that - putting glass into the freezer can cause it to crack.
