Re: How do you work for the next 9 months

How are you feeling since you found out, I am just six weeks and I feel so drained that I can barely function. I am delirously happy about the baby but I barely have any energy to do anything. I'm hoping this doesn't last long as I want to start doing stuff in preparation of the baby.

Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon it gets much better - for the first few weeks you can't think about anything else, but you'll get back into the swing of things. then you get to deal with preggo brain where you can't remember simple words like "cabinet" and "file" Chat Icon

I don't want to tell my bosses until later on, and I don't know how thats going to be when my productivity level has gone to negative 100....

Think, "How on earth will I pay for any cute baby items w/o a job"

That should set you straight.

This works until the end when you are willing to give 10 years pay just to get this kid out!

I wore jeans to work a few times (which we are not allowed) and a few people really jokingly said something to me. I told them, seriously, everyone is just lucky I am here and working at 1/2 capacity! Wardrobe is the least of my worries!

ETA: Oh and when you first go back all you can think about is your DC so it takes time to get adjusted and make a real contribution to your company again!
