How does oil heating work for a stove?
Is it a stove that is completely different from electric range and gas stoves?

Growing up our home was heated by oil...we had an electric stove.
My co-op and now my home are heated by gas and both had gas stoves.

I have never heard of one but here are propane gas stoves. in those stoves you would have a propane tank outside of your house and it gets attached to your stove.
It works well for those that have oil heat but want gas cooking.

Oh, okay. That's good. We have gas now. Not that we're buying soon but sometimes I look online and I noticed one house that had oil heating.

We have oil heat. The stove is electric.
I have never heard of a stove not either electric or gas powered.
Our oil is used to heat our hot water and used to heat the house through radiators.

yes oil heating but that has nothing to do with your cooking stove.

Our house is oil heat and we have an electric stove.
I believe that they only make the appliances electric or gas powered. Not oil powered.

For some reason I had it in my head that you had to have your stove work the same way as your heat. Growing up we had electric heat and an electric stove.
