How does one get their child into advertisments/commercials modeling?
I am interested in getting Sienna into some sort of modeling. How do I go about this? I know if I have to pay anything, it is likely not legit. But that is all I know. If you are BTDT or have your child in something, I would appreciate info! TIA!

Re: How does one get their child into advertisments/commercials modeling?
My DS did modeling when he was younger ( we are still signed w/ his agency but once he started school and DD came along , it became a bit too hard)
If I'm not mistaken you are OOS right ?
Here in NY, everything more or less takes place in NYC or "occasionally" NJ..
I got my DS started by sending out a letter of interest w/ some recent home snapshots to some of the more reputable agencies in NYC...A few contacted us back and we interviewed with them and chose 2 agencies to work with..
Some agencies also have online submissions as well as an occasional "Open Casting call" ..
Not sure if they are national but Wilhelmina and Generations may work near your area...It was a lot of fun, but also A LOT of work, going back and forth for go-sees (between gas, tolls and parking in NYC, it also got a bit $$) DS did get a nice little savings account going and a cute little portfolio w/ his work in it which I guess he can use to pick up chicks with
You are correct in that you should not have to lay out any $...Home snapshots are more than sufficient at their age because they change so rapidly...You have the "option" of having comp cards made (w/ the childs stats etc) but that is not mandatory...The only thing you may be asked is if you would like to have your child's photo online (for clients only) for more exposure which is generally an addt'l fee- though some agencies will not make you pay the fee upfront, but will deduct it from DC's first paying job

I researched it on here as well. one came up called Product model management.
They have a website, ask for 2 pics, I sent them (they asked for $3.00 fee) I paid it even though I was a little wary. THey sent me an email a few days later. Something along the lines of "unfortunately we are not in the market for her look right now. reapply again in 3-6 months"
Someone on this website though is signed with them so I guess they are legit.

Product does book work, but these days they are more about holding seminars that you pay for to learn about modeling.
Adorable Talent Management is reputable as is Generation. They both allow online submissions

Weird... My Daughter is signed with Product and we never once have had to pay for anything (except he $3 to send the pics on the website, and if you don't want to pay that you can mail them in without paying the $3) and never once attended any seminars... IDK where you have your info from... They are a very legit agency and known in the industry, I babysat for a boy who was signed with them for over 10 years and I went on all his go see's. Thats how I knew about them. They do mostly print, but have teamed up with another agency who is now introducing acting...
We have gone on a few go see's... And it is true if you get an e mail about 3-6 months, I sent Carlies pics once and got nothing, I sent them again 3 months later and we are signed...
Honestly you really need to be in the city, as they can call you up to 24 hrs in advance and ask you to come on a go see the next day... So its also time consuming and not easy to do if you work.
Product Model Managment, Go to their webiste and you need to submit pics online or in mail.
You can also mail to Ford and wilhelmina as you cannot e mail it to them.
But go on their websites and it will tell you what to do.
Good Luck!

Yes they are legit...I didn't say they weren't. These days they are really pushing the "day in the life" seminars which are $$$ for newbies trying to get into the biz (not signed talent). I just think there are other agencies that are just as good that you can submit your pictures to online for free.

Oh good !! Didn't know that
There are lots of agencies to reach out to then
DS was with GillaRoos (who sadly just filed for bancruptcy)
and is still signed with FFT (he has gotten a lot from them)
Good Luck
